We proudly collaborate with artists, makers, and small businesses—like our friends at Hammer & Quill—to host a range of inspiring workshops designed to spark your imagination and feed your soul.
From painting bouquets of forever flowers and crafting wooden bunting, to making one-of-a-kind jewellery from metal, wood, and found objects, our sessions are all about slowing down, trying something new, and making something beautiful—whatever your experience level.
Workshops take place in our light-filled conservatory studio in Lancashire, or we can bring the creativity to you—we also run sessions in homes, community venues, and retreat spaces across the North West.

Dreaming in January — A Gentle New Year Session
Instead of goal-chasing, pressure, or punishing resolutions, January is for dreaming.
Dreaming with intention — to discover a feeling you want to nurture, explore, and welcome more of in the year ahead. While many people find January heavy, I adore it. It’s a month for slowing down, softening, resting, and letting your mind wander while you’re wrapped up warm and cosy.
Join me as we reframe the “new year” and turn it into a cocoon: a quiet space to breathe, dream, and gently imagine what’s next.
What to Expect
A 2-hour restorative, creative session held at Mother Doulas’ beautiful studio at Thornton Marsh Mill, where we’ll sink into softness and intention together.

Cacao & Collage
Step into a space of calm connection and creative exploration.
Cacao & Collage is a guided workshop where nourishing drinks, quiet focus, and playful creativity come together. Cacao is a soul-soothing, adaptogenic drink designed to help your body unwind and your mind find its flow.
This session invites you to slow down and tune in—from this grounded place, we ease into the creative process. Using scissors, paper, and a spark of curiosity, you’ll be guided through crafting your own collage — themed or intuitive, solo or shared. No art skills needed, no pressure to “get it right.” Just space to explore, reflect, and create with intention.
It’s not about perfection; it’s about presence. Find your flow, switch off the noise, and surprise yourself in a space that’s relaxed, intuitive, and cosy.

Paint & Make: Wood and Metal Jewellery Making Workshop
Get hands-on and creative in this relaxed jewellery-making session with beautiful designs from Hammer & Quill.
Join us in our cosy Conservatory Studio for a relaxed session of mindful making. This hands-on workshop invites you to choose from over 30+ wooden pendant and earring designs — from coffee cups and moons to cats, cupcakes, and more!
You’ll hand-paint your chosen pieces, then craft them into silver-plated or steel necklaces and/or earrings. Take home two unique pieces of custom jewellery, with the option to create more for an additional cost.
Enjoy a hot drink and a treat as you create in a laid-back, welcoming space. No prior experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm, whether you’re a seasoned crafter or trying something new.

Bloom & Paint – Wooden Forever Flower Workshop
Bring your own forever flower bouquet to life.
Join us in our cosy Conservatory Studio for a calming session of mindful creativity. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll choose from over 20+ beautifully designed wooden flowers from Hammer and & Quill, all laser-cut from premium birch plywood.
Using a mix of wood stains, oils, and acrylics, you’ll bring your bouquet to life with your own unique colour palette and style. You’ll create a set of four custom-painted flowers to keep or gift — with the option to add more on the day.
Enjoy a hot drink and a sweet treat while you paint in a relaxed, welcoming space. No experience needed — just come as you are and enjoy the process.

Craft & Hang – Eco Wooden Bunting Workshop
Create a playful, reusable bunting set that’s as unique as you are.
Get creative and design your own personalised wooden bunting using over 150 laser-cut shapes and letters — all crafted from recycled wood. Whether you’re making something seasonal, celebratory, or totally unique, this workshop is all about playful, mindful making.
Choose your favourite shapes or spell out a name or word, paint or craft on them using a variety of colours and finishes, then assemble your set using our no-knots bunting kit — a clever, reusable system that lets you easily switch out designs throughout the year.
You’ll get your choice of 12 shapes and a bunting kit — with the option to purchase additional shapes during the session if you’d like to expand your set.
You’ll leave with a beautiful, eco-friendly bunting set ready to hang at home, gift, or reuse again and again.
