In a world that feels faster every day, many of us long for a way to slow down and reconnect. An excuse to just play and have fun with no need to be ‘productive’. The beauty of collage is that it gives you just that, permission. Permission to press pause, step back from the noise and slow down.

Collage is more than cutting and pasting images, it’s an invitation to slow down and let your creativity flow without judgment. You don’t need to be ‘good at art’ to create. In fact, we are all creative. Creativity isn’t about painting masterpieces, it’s about the daily choices we make, the way we problem solve, how we dress, cook, or move through the world. It’s about honouring those impulses, that spark inside us.

I like to call this practice ‘Following your fizz’. That fizz is your innate wisdom, your intuition, the quiet hum of your body guiding you toward what feels true. Too often, our minds try to override it, demanding that things make sense, look ‘right’, or fit into tidy boxes. But collage offers another way, an opportunity to switch off the thinking brain and trust the process.

There is no right or wrong in collage. There’s only what feels alive in the moment. It’s about play, experimentation, and joy – things many of us leave behind in childhood but deeply crave as adults. By cutting, tearing, arranging, and layering, you give space for reflection, laughter, calmness, and reconnection with yourself.

This autumn, I invite you to join us for Cacao & Collage on Wednesday, October 15th. Together, we’ll sip heart-opening cacao, slow down with the season, and explore the art of following your fizz. No experience needed – just curiosity, an open heart, and a willingness to play. Click here for more info and to book.
